Open 24 hours?
I saw this notice outside a shop in Phuket, Thailand last August. I first felt confused and later shown enough interest to snap a picture of it. What do you all understand about “Open 1200 AM – 2400 PM”? I especially confused with the 2400 PM. Do we have such time system in English? My instinct tells me the shop is opening 24 hours. What do you think?

open 24 hours would be my guess

I think it might mean 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight, military time maybe? 1:00 PM would be 13…..
It looks like it is open 24 hrs to me too. I think it would have been easier if they said 24 hours. If they are open from Noon to Midnight, shouldn’t it be 12:00PM to 24:00 PM? Too confusing for this first day of the year.

Well, I’m not trying to insult anybody here but knowing that this is taken in Thailand, I will have to give a little discount on my remarks.
Yeah, I think it means open 24hours but they just gotta make it in a longer, more elaborate way..
